CC OG’s Part 1 - The Human Race
Quite possibly my favourite CCHC band. Solid video with decent enough sound from This Is Cardiff in August 2008. Everything you need here, Chris Crabb talking shit, a St David’s Cross on the cab, “Fuck Rhys A” shouts. Band had quite a unique sound for the time, more to do with guitar tone than anything else though. Sort’ve dirty NYC with low metal guitars somewhere in between Think I Care and The Cro-Mags. A band which never actually did any merch other than a few knock offs at home and these Demo Tapes that I made for them (Sold out within three days as all CCHC tapes did at the time). At the time of their split, I think they were meant to release a split record with Hang The Bastard on Carry The Weight records for the labels first release (look how much they’ve done since - I remember us all asking ”who the fuck are they?”). Alas, Chris Crabb dissapeared into the obscurity that is Cornwall never to be seen in the land of sheep again. Drummer Padge now drinks Europe dry in Ironclad, meanwhile Cer sings in Harbour and Jason is a committed husband and Insurance person. I have no idea what Hugh is up to these days. Spent a few awesome times head banging up and down the country to this band. Next up: Freeze Up.
